Abstract

I am a research associate at the Institute of Geography, AG Physical Geography specializing in paleoenvironmental reconstructions with sedimentological multi-proxy analyses. For my research, I am interested in human-environment interactions from the Paleolithic to modern times in wetlands.

Since my empolyment at the MPI-EVA (Leipzig) and University of Göttingen, I am used to work in interdisciplinary research groups.

Currently I am doing my PhD in the regions of the Lower Havel River and Donaumoos. Within the the working group, the main goal is to reconstruct the former landscape around the prehistoric wetlands and to quantify the link of the socio-ecological and hydro-geomorphological system from the Middle Ages to industrialization.

Concerning teaching, I focus on the transfer of basic theoretical knowledge, practical handling of field and laboratory methods, as well as visualisation and interpretation of the generated results.
